A 22-year old Ugandan athlete Jacob Kiplimo, today crossed the finishing line at 1:01:31 under cold and windy conditions at the 2023 United Airlines New York City Half Marathon in the USA.
After his win following , Joshua Chetegie also a Ugandan who was second in the competition, he said regardless of the cold and windy weather, the race was good from start to finish.
“The race was good from start to finish. I did my best despite the coldness. I am happy for this very victory,” he said.
After winning the 16th United Airlines New York City Half Marathon today Sunday,March 19,2023,his net worth has is currently $20,000.Cheptegei also got himself silver with a timing of 1:02:09 to earn $10,000.
Jacob Kiplimo along-distance runner, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic 10,000 metres bronze medallist who also won bronze in the event at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. He has earned gold medals for the 5000 metres and 10,000 m at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2020 World Half Marathon champion among others and many more.
