I don’t pay djs to play music – Joshua Baraka

Through an interview with local TV, Joshua Baraka the Nana singer revealed that he never pays deejays to play his music. He said this in a period where any artiste’s music to play around on air, they have to pay for a favor to deejays on different media houses.

He said this when asked on weather he pays for his music to be played on air but said that he can’t pay for his music to played on air because he believes one to play his songs they must love them.

He added that the only thing he can do is appreciating one for playing his music. Baraka however went a head and said that even when he can’t do it, he is not against those that do it for their music to be played.

He says this in a period his hit ‘Nana’ has penetrated everywhere in the country after it trended number one on Apple music a few weeks ago.

Joshua Baraka is a Ugandan singer, producer and recording artist. He came to popularity in 2021 after releasing his debut album(EP) Baby Steps that had his first songs that introduced him into the industry.
