Nyege Nyege international Music and Arts Festival has so far registered a low turn up at the event venue in Jinja. Naster Ug news team has reached the place but all we can see is a low turn up so far, but we are hopeful that party animals will turn up in big numbers as things unfold. While speaking to some of the vendors who booked business stalls at the place, they showed their frustration as they have not received many clients as they expected.
There is maximum security at the place as security guards have reassured the participants their safety as they shake off stress. Additionally, the annual music festival kicked off officially on Thursday in Uganda’s eastern city of Jinja and this will run for four days.
Last year’s edition of Nyege Nyege that was held at Itanda falls kicked off with a massive turn up on day which isn’t the case this time around. However, as we said, the organizers of the event are hopeful that people will come in big numbers as we dive into the weekend.
According to reports, over 20, 000 foreigners have booked the tickets and are already in Uganda to take part in this joyful event.
Here is why there is a low turn up at the Nyege Nyege Festival 2023 in Jinja City
About 3 Western countries issued warnings to their citizens not to attend the Nyege Nyege music festival in Uganda, which starts on Thursday and ends on Sunday evening, citing the risk of an attack.
