The leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and the peoples’ president H.E Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known by stage name Bobi Wine showcased one love and unity as he served street kids hundreds of meals as we ushered into the new year 2024. Many Ugandans have applauded Bobi Wine for the great gesture he showed to the needy people as he gave them words of encouragement to kick off 2024 in style.
Bobi Wine revealed why he chose to share food with the Ugandan people who are homeless because many end up on streets for different reasons. Additionally, he noted that such people must be thought about if we are to strive to build a nation where all citizens live in dignity.
“Last night, we visited the streets of Kampala to share some food with our people who are homeless. Only those who have slept hungry for lack of food or slept on the street before would understand the pain which these people go through every day.
We thought it was important to share with them the first supper of the new year and give them words of encouragement. It is also important to raise their plight, because they end up on the streets for different reasons. Such people must be thought about as we plan and strive to build a nation where all citizens live in dignity,” Bobi Wine posted.
