Minister and events promoter Balaam Barugahara is officially replacing Bobi Wine the former self appointed ghetto president and now a National Unity Platform (NUP) president when it comes to the ghetto search.
He said that everything is going to be in place and they know so many young musicians that will be able to show case their talents.
When Bobi Wine still referred to himself as the ghetto president, he actually did these searches.
Many young artistes rose from that and at the moment they have solid careers especially an artiste like Zex Bilangilangi.
There are other ghetto youths that have tried to showcase their talent but unfortunately they have been unable to do that just because they don’t have a platform.
Even those that break through they always lack funds to continue which makes them end up on streets taking drugs.
According to Balaam, he is doing everything he can to make sure these talented ghetto youths have a chance to show what they have.
“We are launching the ghetto got talent star search, those interested should start applying and I am hopeful young people will get a platform to really showcase their careers,”
