Nina Roz Lashes Out To Gov’t To Stop Giving Musicians Money Instead Of Copyright

Singer Kakunda Nina also known as Nina Roz has lashed out to Ugandan government to stop giving musicians money instead of the copyright law they asked for.

She said that it is very embarrassing for artistes to beg for money when they can clearly make money for themselves if the copyright law was put in place.

Nina Roz has been very vocal when it comes to politics and musicians. She has clearly showed that she supports the opposition especially National Unity Platform (NUP) led by Bobi Wine.

Recently Azawi attacked the president of musicians Eddy Kenzo accusing him of supporting corruption. She said that he is among the people that started their careers and streets but he doesn’t want to fight for them.

Nina Roz has also added her voice saying musicians should stop going to government and accepting the money instead of pushing for the copyright to be passed.

She said artistes work so hard but with the kind of work they put in, they have received the least amount of money out of it. She said they deserve the best and they are going to fight for what they deserve.

“We want copyright, not money. We all know that as musicians we can earn more if the copyright was put in place but unfortunately nothing is being done about that,” .- Nina Roz backs Azawi’s opposition to government handouts
