NBS management has come-out to deny a circulating list that was showing the monthly salaries of its employees.
The information was circulated by the former employee is now living in exile, on the list was Canary Mugume, the young and dynamic journalist is earning significantly more than some of the station’s most seasoned journalists.
This news list has sent shockwaves through the media industry and among fans, raising questions about the criteria used for determining salaries at the prominent Nakuru-based TV station.
The salary list, leaked by former employee Ninye Tabz, reveals that Mugume pulls in a staggering UGX 6,310,000 per month.
This figure eclipses the earnings of respected veterans like Samson Kasumba and Simon Kaggwa Njala, who earn UGX 4,695,383 and UGX 1,787,691 respectively.
The discrepancy has sparked a flurry of reactions, with many questioning how a relatively newer journalist could out-earn his more experienced counterparts by such a large margin.
The management has trashed the lsit saying such information is confidential and there was nowhere it could be made public.
