Big Talent CEO and President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) Edrisah Musuuza, popularly known by stage name Eddy Kenzo had a private meeting with H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the president of the republic of Uganda.
A lot has been said since Eddy Kenzo met President Museveni hmm, some sources revealed to Naster Ug that the singer went to thank the fountain of honor for facilitating the works of the federation. According to the above source, it is believed that President Museveni injected over 20 billion Uganda shillings into the federation to unite different artists in the music industry to fight H.E Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine.
Kenzo revealed that he met the president to help him amend the Copyright & Neighboring Rights Act 2006. Additionally, he also wanted the let the president know about the urgency of streamlining the Ugandan music industry.
“In the quest for streamlining our industry and lobbying for a well-functioning Music industry, today I met my Mzee H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, and we discussed the urgent need for the amendment of the Copyright & Neighboring Rights Act 2006. It was a great discussion in which he promised to follow into the matter with the urgency it requires. He also accepted my request for a meeting to introduce to him the Uganda National Musicians Federation Leadership and how far we have gone as a federation in building national structures for a more inclusive and vibrant Music industry,” Eddy Kenzo posted.
