Media personality James Propa has finally revealed what is affecting the quality of Ugandan music industry.
He said that there are good producers, sound engineers but the artistes that have tried to use them haven’t yielded so much from it yet it is very expensive for these musicians.
In Uganda the quality music is not the one that makes money. Fans usually go with the vibe of the song and the situation into which it was released.
According to James Propa, in the business perspective no one can keep investing in something that doesn’t bring profits in retiring. He said that musicians who invest so much money in a song to release a quality song end up not doing it again.
He said they usually end up being okay with just just recording a song and shooting any kind of video because those who do that end up earning more.
“We all know in Uganda, fans don’t mind about quality music. Someone can even make money from a song that was recorded on a phone without a video. That has made the ones who do quality music and not earn from it hate it,”
