Has Uganda’s oldest radio station closed its operations in Uganda? Well you are in the right place for the whole truth regarding the trending saga about the closure of Dembe FM. This kind of news followed after the Station Management announced on Thursday that they were discontinuing all its programming indefinitely as they figure out its future.

Through their official verified social media pages or platforms, its noted that the station for the foreseeable future, will have no scheduled programming as the board and management reassess it’s continued viability as a business concern.

“We regret to inform our esteemed listeners, clients and stakeholders that…the station for the foreseeable future, will have no scheduled programming as the board and management reassess its continued viability as a business concern,” the station posted.

According to Naster Ug credible news sources, the popular Ugandan radio station located at 8th Street, Industrial Area, Namuwongo, Kampala, and owned by Dr. Patrick Bitature has gone off air temporarily. Therefore this means that they are just putting a few things right before they get back full swing. However, the same source also revealed that there is a possibility that the radio station has closed for good and will never ever get back on air.

Additionally, popular presenters, for example, Kasuku, Bina Baibe, Sam Gombya, Ssenga Nantume, Prossy Patra, Ruth Kalibala, and Shafiq will be part of the revamped lineup, only if they return on air.
