Douglas Lwanga On How He Manages To Be Friends With Every Artiste

NBS television presenter Douglas Lwanga has revealed how he manages to be friends with every artiste.

He said he does take sides when artistes are having issues and that has helped him to keep each of his friends without worrying on who he talks to in the industry.

These days, media personalities usually take sides where they find themselves involved in drama. They usually pick one they can support leaving the other.

This has increased rift between artistes and media people because they don’t trust each other because of the way they were treated.

According to Douglas Lwanga, journalists need to understand that it is a job and they shouldn’t uncover their feelings. They just need to do their work and leave.

He said placing an opinion is not part of journalist jobs which means one has to be neutral in order to cover both sides of that story without getting inconvenienced.

With all that, Douglas said a media personality will have both artistes happy and friends with him because of the professionalism.

“People are always saying that I don’t take sides I am always on the fence but they need to understand that journalism is a job. It is not my place as a journalist to place an opinion. That is why most artistes are my friends they don’t have a problem with me at all,”’
