The presidents of musicians under the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) Cindy Sanyu has attacked Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) over government fund.
She said some people are very selfish, they received the money and didn’t distribute to other artistes.
From the beginning Cindy wasn’t happy that Eddy Kenzo had started a federation. She knew that UMA will no longer be as stronger as it used to be before the federation.
There were allegations of the federation stealing the ideas of UMA and representing them to different stake holders and the government.
Eddy Kenzo denied all the allegations saying the federation has its own ideas that are working for them. He even said that he is not in competition with UMA they are all working hard to help the industry get better.
The federation was lucky that the government listened to them first and gave them money to help them which has been a problem to different artistes.
Cindy Sanyu said the federation needs to give the accountability of the money because artistes who are supposed to get the money are not getting it.
“I don’t understand what people have to say but the federation is busy eating the artistes money. We need accountability for the billions because it is supposed to help musicians and we the musicians haven’t got anything,”
